Study Shows Driver Acceptance of Audio Messages Sent to Vehicles

ATX Finds Drivers Want Recall Notices, Vehicle and Driving Information Pushed to Them

DALLAS, JUNE 14, 2010 --- Recent research of U.S. vehicle owners indicates growing recognition by consumers of the value of specific information sent directly into their vehicles, including reminders related to vehicle maintenance and ownership, or notifications that can enhance or make safer their driving experience.

It’s happening more and more – telematics technology is being used to positively enhance peoples’ lives. There's a reason: telematics shortens emergency response times, simplifies navigation for drivers and improves automotive reliability. Telematics changes the equation between transportation and risk, enhancing the driving experience and boosting driver and passenger safety. No company has more authority to speak about this important new technology than ATX.

ATX's Corporate Relations department is available to assist the media with inquiries regarding its telematics service program and arranging interviews.
