Steve Millstein President and Chief Executive Officer

Steve Millstein is president and chief executive officer of ATX, the world’s largest provider of customized telematics services to the automotive industry, based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, and Düsseldorf, Germany.

Millstein joined ATX as president and chief operating officer, and was named a member of the Board of Directors in August 1999, following the company’s acquisition of Protection One Mobile Services Group, a telematics services company. He was promoted to chief executive officer of ATX in June 2000.

Prior to the acquisition by ATX, Millstein had been president of Protection One Mobile Services Group since November 1997.

Millstein has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications industry, holding management positions in marketing, sales, finance, and government affairs at AT&T and Southwestern Bell. In 1987, he was vice president of marketing for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems. In 1990, he was responsible for marketing to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company’s large business customers.

Millstein holds a juris doctorate degree from the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kan., and a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from the University of Kansas.
